Repeat Prescriptions

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic and to help the practice improve its environmental footprint, we are no longer accepting paper prescription requests. You must now request repeat prescriptions via the NHS app (or patient access if you already have it).

Please follow this link for help with installing the NHS app:

https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/nhs-services/the-nhs-app/help/

You will be required to verify your account by uploading a picture of your identification and recording a short video.

If you are still having problems then please email the NHS app support team at:

Specialist Prescriptions

Please be advised that any prescriptions written by specialists (via NHS or private outpatient clinics) should be obtained from the Hospital Pharmacy or in the case of a private prescription, directly from any Community Pharmacist.  We are unable to rewrite these prescriptions.  Furthermore, if a new medication is advised by your specialist, it is their resposbility to provide the first 28 day supply. Please note this is in line with local guidance and has been agreed by all the doctors in the Surgery for reasons of patient safety.

If the medication prescribed by your specialist is required on a long term basis, we will be able to issuessubsequent prescriptions assuming the following:

1. The medication is licensed and suitable for prescription by a General Practitioner

2. The medication is listed on the Barnet NHS formulary

3. A letter from your consultant detailing the drug and dosage schedule has been received by the Practice.
