CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE

September 2020:
We want to reassure our patients the surgery remains open and we are here to help. However we are following national Covid-19 guidelines and operating services to keep both patients and staff safe. We continue to offer appointments via telephone, video and electronic consultaion, should you require to be seen in a face to face appointment you will be invited to attend the surgery. We have pre-bookable routine telephone appointments available, to schedule a routine telephone appointment please call the surgery after 10.30am to allow patients requiring urgent same day care priority. Alternatively you can book a routine telephone appointment online or submit an eConsultation.

For the latest information on Covid-19 please go to

The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.

We have taken measures to limit direct walk in access in view of the corona virus spread. The main reception is now closed.

You may be infectious with the virus and not even know. This is because you may start to shed the virus 24-48 hours prior to any symptoms starting. You might recognise why you are feeling unwell as a symptom of a different problem but this does not exclude that you may have the virus as well. To protect you as well as all our staff (to keep the surgery open) we need to minimise direct contact.

DO NOT ATTEND ST. ANDREWS MEDICAL PRACTICE

for any reason unless specifically pre-arranged by a specific doctor or nurse at the surgery. NOTE: We cannot test for covid19

FLU VACCINATIONS 2020

Please note that people in the 50-64-year old age group will not be vaccinated until November and December, providing there is sufficient vaccine and no appointments will be offered for this age group until then. This is to ensure that those who are most at risk are vaccinated first. If you are 50-64 and you are in one of the other groups which are eligible for the flu vaccination, for example, you have a health condition which puts you at risk from the flu, you will be invited earlier.
